Not everybody wants to talk through ‘it’
At It’s Yours, Creative Healing, we believe that healing doesn’t always come from words alone; it can come from art, storytelling, and even silence.
Founded by Licensed Creative Arts Therapist and Drama Therapist Jennifer Richards (LCAT), we created a safe space where you can explore your path and reconnect with yourself in meaningful ways.
Through drama therapy and other creative arts practices, we walk with you towards healing, growth, and self-discovery.
Here, your voice matters, your story matters, and most importantly, your healing is yours.
I’m Jennifer Richards, a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT) and the founder of It’s Yours Creative Healing. For over 14 years, I’ve walked alongside individuals, organizations, and small teams as they’ve navigated some of life’s hardest seasons.
Whether it’s depression, anxiety, trauma, or substance use, I’ve witnessed again and again how creative expression can unlock what words alone sometimes can’t. Through drama therapy, art, storytelling, and sensory tools, I’ve developed unique programs that make space for people to heal, build resilience, and reconnect with themselves—gently and at their own pace.
My hope is simple: that you’ll discover how powerful it can feel to release, to imagine, and to create your way toward healing. If you’re ready, I’d love to walk that journey with you.
The mastermind behind it all…
We get a lot of these questions…
-
Think of it like therapy that goes beyond talking. Instead of only using words, we bring in drama, movement, storytelling, even art or music. It helps you express what’s hard to say out loud and makes space for healing in a really natural way without forcing you to overshare
-
Nope! You don’t need to be an artist, singer or a creative. This isn’t about talent, it’s about expression. If you can show up as yourself, that’s more than enough.
-
Yes, it does. Creative arts therapy isn’t just “fun activities”, it’s a clinical, evidence-based practice. People use it to work through trauma, addiction recovery, anxiety, depression, grief, and more. It might feel different from traditional therapy, but it’s just as powerful, sometimes even more so when words aren’t enough.

Traditional therapy is mostly talking. Creative arts therapy lets you use your imagination, your body, your creativity, different ways of getting to what’s going on inside. Sometimes it’s easier to act something out than to explain it.
